REDCap is a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy.
REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools, and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading, and calculated fields.

Accessing the Temple University Health System (TUHS) Health Sciences Campus (HSC) REDCap
How to Request Access
Temple University employees, students (excluding Lewis Katz School of Medicine medical students and residents), and extramural research collaborators affiliated with Temple University:
You can request a TUHS HSC REDCap account here:

After setting up your TUHS HSC REDCap account, you can login to the TU HSC REDCap (see "How to Login" for instructions).
Lewis Katz School of Medicine students and residents:
If you have an active TUHS account, you can login to the Temple University HSC REDCap using your TUHS account login information (see "How to Login" for instructions).
If you need a TUHS account, please reach out to your TUHS reporting manager or department administrator and request that a Non-Employee Request be submitted via Employee & Manager Self-Service (Temple Health - The Hub) on your behalf.
Your date of birth, personal phone number, and personal email address must be included in this request, so make sure this information is provided to the manager or department administrator who is submitting your request.
How to Login
Temple University employees, students (excluding Lewis Katz School of Medicine medical students and residents), and extramural research collaborators affiliated with Temple University:
You will login with your TUHS HSC REDCap account information. If you need this information, please email the Temple University REDCap team at [email protected]
Lewis Katz School of Medicine students and residents:
If you have an active TUHS account, your REDCap login is the same as your TUHS user ID. This is the same user ID you would use to login to Epic or a TUHS-managed device. This is not the same as your Temple University user ID, your TUID (9-digit #), or your Temple University or TUHS email address.
The Temple University REDCap team cannot provide you with your TUHS user ID. Your TU reporting manager, or department administrator, can access Employee & Manager Self-Service (Temple Health - The Hub) and obtain this information for you.
How to Reset Your Password
Temple University employees, students (excluding Lewis Katz School of Medicine medical students and residents), and extramural research collaborators affiliated with Temple University:
Please follow the password reset steps within REDCap to reset your password. For this to work, you must have already set a security question which can be done by clicking on the "My Profile" link in the top right of the screen.
Lewis Katz School of Medicine students, residents, and TUHS employees:
The Temple University REDCap team cannot manage TUHS password issues. Password issues are handled by TUHS IT: If you are having issues logging in, call the TUHS IT Helpdesk at 1-215-707-7008 (available 24/7/365) to ask for a TUHS account password reset. Please do not ask for a "REDCap password reset".
How to Access an Existing Project
To get access to an existing process, contact the project creator or manager. Ask them to add you to the project. More info on User Rights is viewable here.
How to Add a User to an Existing Project
Type the REDCap username (NOT full email address) of the user you would like to add to your project. Select their username from the drop-down list, then click "Add with custom rights." Following the remaining prompts.
If a user does not appear in the drop-down list, that means they have not logged into REDCap before. Users need to have logged into REDCap at least once before they can be added to a project.
